The PPOA is converting the Odessa Peace Officer Memorial Foundation into the Permian Basin Assist the Officer Foundation. The Permian Basin ATO is being established exclusively for the primary purposes of assisting:
Peace officers who have been wounded in the line of duty;
Peace officers who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, disease, or injury;
Peace officers who have a spouse or dependent who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, disease, or injury;
Peace officers who suffer from mental health issues associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of their service; and
Surviving spouses and dependents of peace officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
This foundation will be operated through PPOA and governed by a separate Board of Directors. As the first order of business for the foundation, we will honor the 10-year anniversary of our fallen brothers, Arlie, Scott, and Abel. If you would like to support this foundation, we have T-Shirts for sale through TeeSpring for $19.99: https://www.teespring.com/ppoa-10-year
Background of the Design: The pencil rubbing represents the names of Arlie, Scott, and Abel as they appear on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Memorial honors federal, state and local law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of our nation and its people.
Thank you for your continued support of PPOA and the men and women of the Odessa Police Department.
